Toyota cutting production, chip shortage

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member
The chip shortage still persists in autos, while the percent of BOM of chips in cars has increased from 4% to 20% over the years. Soon vehicles will just be platforms for new chips and electronics of all types, especially with EVs and batteries becoming a major cost factor.
