Toyota, Applied Materials on Batteries, Using Semi Technology

The partnership between Toyota and AMAT has largely flown under the radar. To see both companies partnering on battery technology may be a major driver for AMAT of a market of staggering size. Will this combination make the solid state battery a reality, they have the skill set and resources between them. Toyota has numerous patents with Panasonic in this area. Any comments sought and welcome.

I do see AMAT as a major supplier of tools, equipment and materials in this area and maybe even a few technologies. I know from first hand experience AMAT is looking at several battery technologies and on the look out for more.
