Sulfur Hexafluoride scare at LAM facility in Tualatin, Oregon

Daniel Payne

Moderator
Imagine the surprise this morning when my high-school age son texted me about a sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) scare at the LAM facility just a few blocks away from where we live in Tualatin. Fortunately the six workers at LAM were OK, although they did go to the hospital to get checked out for any side effects. We're still waiting for some official statement from LAM about what really happened and any new safeguards that they will put in place to keep workers and residents safe.
