Semi technology even on a large scale is advancing at a rapid clip and batteries becoming more important and widespread have become a key area for advancement. Between battery, solar and energy harvesting advancements through semiconductor technologies we will see unexpected changes in fields and applications that are going to surprise everyone beyond their current uses. Just as semiconductors changed the handling of information and data, they will change the use and handling of power. Expect energy handling and storage to change the world is expected and unexpected ways in the near future and beyond. The combination of the storage, computational and mems technologies are going to offer more frontiers to explore and exploit than most can imagine in the science of semiconductors.
