Hi, anyone can help give me an idea of how large the SiGe BiCMOS segment is, out of the $409B semiconductor market?
I know the process is provided by many foundries such as GF (IBM), TowerJazz, X-Fabs, etc. and maybe some IDMs too. I have a feeling it's in single-digit Billion $ but want to have a better understanding, e.g. is it larger than the $7.5B GaAs segment or less.
2B$ for BiCMOS probably ok, but for the SiGe segment probably 1/3rd. Most BiCMOS is still classical Si stuff for the automotive market. But Scotten and admin have more data than me.
As you mention GaAs maybe what you are looking for is comparisons for RF market. In that case, I think all need some more looking into. The 7.5B$ for GaAs looks more like it includes all the IR sensors stuff.
I have tried myself to come up with some numbers but it is difficult with public data.
