When I worked at Mentor Graphics in Oregon marketing a FastSPICE circuit simulator (Mach TA), I first met Herve Guegan in Grenoble, France where he managed the SPICE (Eldo) development team. Now I found out that Herve is at this new EDA start-up called Intento Design. Here's their first press release:

EDA Start-Up Intento Design Raises 900k Euros in Early Stage Funding
Paris, France – November 3, 2015 – Intento Design today announced that it has raised 900k Euros in early stage funding. The equity allows Intento to focus on product development as well as expansion of the company’s global sales and marketing efforts.
