Liquid Light Device, Is This the Future?

Arthur Hanson

I ran across this interesting take on light and matter being used in semi like technology and wondered what the communities view and take on the future of this technology is? To far out? Is it practical? Are there other technologies out there that may do the same thing better or take its place? This technology seems far out to me in time before we see its applications. Opinion, thoughts and ideas on this solicited as I haven't even run across anything similar.

Cryogenic today. Condensates tend to be researched at REALLY cold temps, fractions of a K. While they say it might operate warmed up they don't say how, and no one else is doing Bose Einstein condensates warm.

It is neat work but pure research.
