Intelligent Weapons/Hacks Have Changed War in Ways Not Even Imagined

The semiconductor world has created a whole world of weapons unimaginable just a few years ago. Drones and even autonomous drones on land, sea, under the sea are have changed conflicts in ways unimaginable just ten years ago. Sleeper weapons from land mines, sea mines/torpedoes, drones of all types will change the conflicts of the future even more. Any plans in war and conflict have a tendency to go out the window when the first contact is made. Modern semis that actually have their own intelligence have already and in the near future change the game totally. Mixed with far more sophisticated economic war that some is obvious and other is stealth have changed the game totally. The true impact of semis in all types of war is still grossly underestimated for they allow creativity in all conflicts, physical, economic and virtual is ways not even imagined and almost unlimited options. Imagine the software bombs that could be put in a major foundry, banking system, communications system or any other critical system, the list is endless. Semis have changed warfare in ways we haven't even imagined yet with an almost infinite number of options open to those that want to exploit them. Hacking of all types will play a very significant part in any future conflict. Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

The semi world has changed everything, and we can either accept and work with it or suffer at our own peril.
