Intel acquires DOCEA Power

In a very quiet deal we see Intel acquiring DOCEA Power on July 31st, 2015 gaining a couple of EDA tools:

  • Aceplorer - model, explore and optimize power and thermal behavior of an electronic system
  • Thermal Profiler - generate a compact thermal model used in Aceplorer

We've blogged quite a bit about DOCEA Power here on SemiWiki through 2014.

The deal was so small that it didn't even merit a press release by either Intel or DOCEA, ouch. You'll just see a banner on the web site of www.doceapower.com and reference at www.harvestmp.com/success.html

Read our Wiki page of all EDA and IP deals for decades.

I really wished that either Intel or DOCEA would've spent a few dollars and issued a press release to dignify the acquisition a bit more.
