I want to design AMS circuits using FinFET(Double Gate). What are the models that i can use?. Also can i get a PDK(Process Design Kit) for this purpose. What are the options?
You need to get the models from one of the foundries that offer a FinFET process. There are academic models available but not sure if they correlate to the reality. For example I've seen papers biasing two independent gates in a FinFET, which does not correspond to industry FinFETs where there is only a single gate that wraps around the fin.
Thanks for ur reply. I have seen PTM website Predictive Technology Model (PTM). Is these models good enough if we want to design any circuit from fabrication piont of view? I doubt. What is your take on this.
Thanks a lot. I have gone through the presentation. Thanks for the information. How much would these PDKs from foundries cost us for Academic Purpose? Any idea regarding this would be helpful.
I don't know about University access to FinFET PDKs, because the foundries offering such leading-edge technology reserve such use only for paying, commercial customers.
