Embedded Vision Summits are a full day of“how-to” presentations, product and technology demos, and insightful talks by industry leaders. This year’s technical program will focus on two themes: Recognition and Autonomy.
  • Recognition encompasses vision technologies that enable machines to detect and understand specific objects in images, such as people, bicycles, or license plates. Includes facial expression, gesture interfaces, as well as contextual understanding.
  • Autonomy includes technologies that support semi- or fully-autonomous machine behaviors, such as self-driving cars and drones. Includes visual tracking, localization, detection and decision-making about obstacles in the world for safe operation.

The program includes keynotes from Yann LeCunn, director of AI Research at Facebook, and Nathaniel Fairfield, technical lead on Google's self-driving car team. Also, this year's Summit is co-located with Augmented World Expo, the world's largest event featuring Augmented Reality, Wearable Computing, and the Internet of Things. Discounts for AWE are available to Summit attendees.
