Both semiconductors and EDA industries are quite special for business beginners.
Many new products, startups, services in those are going not within the field-centers USA/UK/etc., many of them also created by the people familiar with technologies, with some know-how in minds, but without deep corporative/enterprise specific understanding.
Personally for me It's interesting to ask a few questions for my startup later.
But more interesting now - what does experienced SemiWiki community think about creation of the FAQ/forum with advices and common mistakes analisys for the startups? It will be usefull even if some experts writes about the painful points of their experience. It`s never be possible like one person book, but as community resource - yes.
F.e. I want to ask someone experienced about:
- how in USA they usually provide/receive remote design and verification services to/from the EU - is it common, or usually it`s not practice?
- what are the common mistakes around the new product registration specific for EDA industry?
- where it`s better to find information about existing industry patents?
And I can answer some questions about the benefits of the startup registration in Andorra, correct LinkedIn network grow up, todays situation with open source / cheap tools, China deals, etc.
All of it will be hard to find in general forum later.
