This is one technology we will actually see quite shortly due to its ability to be produced on existing equipment. I expect in the not to distant future we will be able to place our cell phones in the sun and have them charge themselves if need be. Battery technology for everything is just starting to advance at an accelerating rate as a miniature fuel cells. This same technology will probably go into a Li batteries in the near future.
