Any Thoughts/Predictions on AI/ML displacing people?

Any thoughts on AI/ML/Robotics/Automation causing displacement in various fields and the timeline for these changes would be appreciated. I see AI as one of the greatest changes in human history. Also, what new fields and endeavors we aren't expecting might be created? I personally feel AI/ML will start to accelerate progress in all areas, only limited by special interests. AI is the best hope for keeping this planet livable by accelerating the technologies we need to do it.
