The United Nations has been a terrible failure in almost every respect, hampered by small minded people and petty politics on all sides. An internationally built AI/ML might be the best way to go, in that its workings would be transparent and it would also tally up the true total costs of any conflict versus cooperation. AI/ML would have to start out small on a local and company level in incorporating conflict resolution into its recommended actions. The road to this goal will have failures and pot holes along the way, but if it can cut down conflicts, just ten percent, the compounded value will be staggering on everything from personal relationships to international conflicts. AI/ML could lower the timeline of any endeavor dramatically and give a clear cost benefit analysis. This will only happen if cooler heads prevail. The more connected the world becomes the more powerful conflict resolution, problem solving and value creation AI/ML will be. Handled the wrong way, the damage could just as large or even larger than the benefit. Mankind has finally been given something far more powerful than nuclear power, I hope we have the wisdom to use it wisely. Conflict resolution and advancing knowledge should be the priorities from the beginning for once the wrong path is taken if might be even impossible to change it. Right now I feel is the time for Jensen Huang to step up and guide the massive power he is now in charge of. Now is the time for this discussion to be started.
