Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is looking to hire a Process Technician to support the Post Fab module business across a variety of equipment sets that inspect and package state of the art Digital Foundry products. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to help support all manufacturing, development, and sustainment engineering activities related to (but not limited to) the “Scan-Bake-Tape” module sectors of operation.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive projects to optimize the production flow, reduce cost & flow inhibitors.
  • Monitor KPI (key performance indicator) and solve issues on the production floor.
  • Ensure “Manufacturing Readiness” for new and existing products.
  • Support and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, document, and enable (RFPN) new commodities to be used by manufacturing.
  • Collaboration amongst the following groups
    • Equipment and commodity suppliers.
    • Product development and customer interface teams.
    • Procurement.
    • Coworkers (departmental, project, and functional+ levels).
  • Perform structured problem solving and root-cause analysis on quality incidents.
  • Perform new product & commodity qualifications following QMS protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance including documentation/communication on projects.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Associates Degree, or equivalent with knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals
  • Experience – at least 6 years of experience
  • Travel <5% of travel required
  • Fluency in English – Written & Verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of MES integration (including equipment host connect principles)
  • Module product & package mechanical awareness.
  • General “Shipping & Handling” experience (NSSR).
  • Lean manufacturing skills to remove waste, standardize, and sustain improvements.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor production processes.
  • Strong communication skills using all GF available media.
