Summary of Role:

The Sr Software Development Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Software applications. As a member of the Development team, reporting to the Software Development manager, the candidate will participate in every phase of the software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering, solutioning etc up to the final product release & even customer support. Responsibilities include design and development of software, creating  unit tests, performance testing, and code reviews. The main tasks will focus on design, writing and debugging code, reporting bugs, testing and participating in component design reviews and usability testing. Candidate should be able to drive and execute development with effectiveness and thereby reduce maintenance costs.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with users to capture requirements and translate that into solution design.
• Estimate development efforts and plan project activities.
• Follow best practices in development
• Collaborate with teams across multiple geographic locations across globe
• Provide timely customer support meeting SLA.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field
• At least 5 years of software development experience
• Full stack technofunctional professional having experience with multiple end to end complex project implementations.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate
• Experience with frontend technologies such as Bootstrap, Jquery, Angular
• Experience with writing efficient SQL queries, functions, procedures(Oracle/Postgres)
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Broad knowledge of software development methodologies, project management using waterfall, Agile, lean development methodologies
• Familier with test driven development
• Experience build automation like Apache Maven and Ant
• Experience in using software development tools such as Eclipse and profiling tools (XRebel,FindBugs)
• Experience with low code development platform
• Experience with cloud product lifecycle management application.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies & work well in team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud technologies
• Experience with Siemens Teamcente PLM application
• Experience with Mendix will be big plus.
• Experience in semiconductor industry
• Experience with managing ITAR applications
