Senior Software Engineer (Platform)

NetApp team is looking for a Sr Software Engineer (Platform Developer) to join the agile team managing and monitoring highly complex private and public cloud infrastructures for the largest enterprises in the world. You will be responsible for development and maintenance of the microservice platform. This position requires a candidate to be a self-starter, team-oriented, and passionate to produce results.

Job Requirements

• Strong data structure and algorithms skills with proven hands-on experience.
• Expert in Java programming language and OOP.
• Expert in Microservice frameworks such as spring-boot/Quarkus on Kubernetes/Helm.
• Proficient in testing methodologies (functional/non-functional testing) and frameworks like Pact/Junit.
• Deep understanding of code workflow, error handling, detecting issues, etc.
• Good Experience in API performance testing, Microservice observability frameworks.
• Good Experience with Linux is preferred.
• Experience with tools like Maven, IDEs (Intellij/Eclipse/VScode), Gradle, Ant, JIRA, Git, Jenkins is a plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines with some hands-on experience (preferred in Jenkins pipelines)
• Understanding of containerized applications and exposure to SaaS applications
• Prior experience with microservices, Openstack, Docker, Kafka, Flink, ElasticSearch is a plus
• Understanding of AWS cloud environment is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple, complex technical projects
• Creative and analytical approach to problem solving
• Excellent spoken and written communication/collaboration skills

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience; or an advanced degree (preferred) and equivalent work experience.
