Do you enjoy sales, procurement, and enjoys solving puzzles? Do you have a passion for data analysis, and are interested in working through infringement evidence? Are you a great negotiator? Pirated versions of our various software products are broadly available, and as a successful license compliance manager your will use a broad set of skills to legalize pirating companies throughout Greater China and Asia-Pacific regions. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing infringement evidence and building compliance cases based on data, to recover lost costs for Keysight. You will own all aspects of the SW license compliance engagement – from the initial contact to the successful negotiation of mutually-acceptable agreements, while partnering with our global sales organization, global license compliance team, and Keysight legal to help legalize and monetize the utilization of our PathWave EDA Software Solutions licenses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently and critically analyze large amounts of ambiguous infringement evidence.
- Work with the global license compliance team and the local sales team to evaluate license compliance engagement opportunities.
- Own all aspects of license compliance engagements – from the initial contact to the successful negotiation of mutually-acceptable agreements.
- Own the tracking and reporting of software compliance engagements.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement.
- 25% travel required.
Job Qualifications
- University degree.
- Uncompromising ethics and integrity.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including – but not limited to – the ability to independently and critically analyze large amounts of ambiguous data in Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently and successfully negotiate lasting mutually-acceptable agreements in difficult high-tension business situations, balancing short-term business results with long-term customer relationships.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and a track record of delivering business results.
- Skills and temperament to work effectively with a broad global team – sales, global license compliance team, legal, executives.
- Excellent oral and written Chinese/English communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese/Asian culture and traditions.
- Solid business acumen/judgment.
- Knowledge of software licensing models a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic design automation software products a plus.
