Your Role:

The Production Supervisor, who reports to the Production Manager, is responsible for the daily coordination of the production resources in AZM Mixing on multiple shifts of operation to ensure all safety, quality and production procedures are followed. This is from material preparation to batch charging, and mixing, until the batch is ready for package activities. This position requires close interaction with the site Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, ESH, and Engineering teams.

  • Supervise an hourly work force operating on two to three shifts schedule, directly or through the lead operators of the shifts
  • Establish daily priority lists to coordinate the activities of all shifts to ensure efficient use of resources and production requirements are meet
  • Monitor manufacturing daily activities to ensure productivity requirements are achieved
  • Troubleshoot issues related to the AZM Mixing activities to ensure the processes are running safely, smoothly and mistake free
  • Perform incident investigation, following the 5-why process, generate the relevant reports and action items promptly, and be responsible all follow up actions done on time
  • Audit the manufacturing areas frequently to ensure effective implementation of the quality systems, safety programs, and housekeeping, initiate and implementing corrective actions where necessary
  • Lead the AZM Inventory control team through the Inventory Coordinator
  • Ensure the SAP inventory is accurate, and the inventory management is completed promptly
  • Organize the daily update meeting in the morning
  • Lead or coordinate the shift change meetings
  • Cooperate with the Production Planner and the QE engineers to ensure all needed process orders and batch sheets are issued on time for production activities
  • Periodically review AZM Mixing work instructions and update on time when needed
  • Evaluate employee performance
  • Coordinate, conduct, and document classroom and hands-on SOP training for all shifts
  • Verify effectiveness of training through visual verification techniques and testing to maintain the qualification program per quality system requirements
  • Coordinate maintenance activities of AZM Mixing area
  • Maintain a safe, clean well-organized work environment for AZM production area by educating and directing the members of the AZM Mixing Team
  • Actively participate in the department Safety Inspection, and make sure all findings and observations are addressed promptly afterward
  • Encourage the team members to be involved in the company BeSafe and other ESH Initiatives and Focus Teams
  • Be the zone owner for the relevant MySite zone

Physical Attributes:

  • Wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats, glasses, or goggles with or without face shell, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes, and other equipment, as needed
  • Lift, push and/or pull packages up to 20 lbs

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of work experience in a chemical, technical institutions, or other related industry
  • 2+ years of experiences in people management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of work experience in a chemical industry or chemical related technical institutions
  • 5+ years of experience in people management
  • Basic mathematical skills and data analysis
  • DOT, ESH and relevant RA training and knowledge
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Familiar with SAP transactions related to production activities, inventory control, and labeling generation
  • Familiarity with computer and other office and manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with email, Microsoft Office Suite and generating reports
