About the Job:

As New Products Introduction (NPI) Hardware Engineer on our team, you will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams world-wide to help design Keysight’s state of the art measurement solutions. Working on the system integration of new product hardware; developing and executing performance tests required to evaluate the design and determine product specifications.

About the Team:

Our NPI teams are multi-disciplinary, involving electrical, software, and mechanical engineers. You will apply your Electrical Engineering skills to a variety of focused, hands-on projects and become a measurement expert yourself! You will be part of a product development team that collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop and test our Spectrum Analyzers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with R&D and marketing to develop new product models and features.
  • Characterize product performance from breadboard builds to production release.
  • Manage instrument hardware and the measurement, characterization, and calibration processes used during the NPI development phase and into production.
  • Design and/or modify test stations, analyze test data and make product specification recommendations.
  • Review/Evaluate and participate in setting production line specifications based on statistical data analysis.
  • Manage and guide the transition of products and manufacturing processes into production and through the product’s entire life cycle.
  • After product release, you will continue to manage engineering responsibilities for the system, hardware, and production processes.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BS, MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum 6 years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of/ Experience in/ Proficiency in analog (including RF and Microwave) and digital circuits.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and communication skills
  • Experience working in manufacturing and/or product development role.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of/ Experience in / Proficiency in SW Programming /code development, .Net, C, C++, C#
  • Desire to collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide to achieve objectives
  • Good organizational skills and the desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to take direction on high-level objectives and create/execute project plans
