Our first generation InferX AI Inference CoProcessor is taping-out soon and we predict industry-leading performance. We need a Manager or Director to lead the RTL Design Team for our next-gen InferX Inference Coprocessors. The candidate must be able to work in every stage of silicon development but be an expert in SoC RTL Design (with working knowledge of coding, timing closure, DV and PD support, postsilicon validation, prototyping) and work closely with our SoC Architect for:

– SoC design of multiple blocks communicating over Network-on-chip (NOC)
– Configuration and specification of 3rd party IP such as DDR PHY/Controller, PCIe PHY/Controller/DMA, integration of nnMAX Inference IP and other SoC blocks communicating over NOC


  • BSEE/MSEE with 10 years of industry experience defining complex RTL in commercial SoCs in production in advanced processes.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as manager.
  • Needs to be a hands-on manager and is able to grow the team
  • Deisgn to, and help co-develop, the architecture spec at both chip level and system level
  • Identify/integrate IP to meet product requirements.
  • Work with internal and 3rd party IP suppliers and integrators
  • Work effectively with verification team & SoC back-end design team to deliver high quality designs.
  • Lead effort in prototyping and hardware-software handoff
  • Ability to code, synthesize & timing-close RTL as needed
  • Must have hands-on experience and knowledge of SoC designs and network-on-chip designs
  • Must be passionate about doing this job: wanting to change the world and work hard doing it

  • Must be willing to do what it takes to get the job done

Preferred or willing to learn:

  • Knowledge of computer architecture, especially for high-performance systems
  • Familiarity with memory architecture in SoC and DMA controllers
  • Experience with FPGA design, prototyping, and emulation
  • Experience with FPGA and ASIC EDA tools
  • Experience interfacing with Sales & Applications
  • MUST live in Silicon Valley and have a US citizenship or permanent residency (“green card”), or holding a current H1-B visa
