Applications Engineer, Sr II

Applicants should have a good combination of problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to new technological changes. Highly self-motivated , energetic applicant capable of working closely with external and internal customers.

As part of Product Application Engineering team, applicant will be responsible for rolling out and delivering product technical support for Implementation products.  Key activities include development, deployment, testing and training support.

Manages key customer engagements including evaluation, tape out support and foundry qualifications. Collaborates with R&D and marketing in product release planning, roadmap, and rollout. Ensures product release is on schedule, functions per specifications, meets quality criteria and well documented. Establishes proven communication and relationship with field application engineers, R&D, marketing, technical publication, cross-products, and customers/foundries.

Key Qualifications

At least 5 years of industry experience in IC designs and/or CAD engineering  and experience driving multiple parallel initiatives and customer collaborations. Solid understanding of IC design methodologies and circuits, Parasitic Extraction, Static timing, Implementation flow, excellent communication and leadership skills required.  Exceptional ability to interface and develop relationship with customers and product teams to drive solutions for complex issues is essential. Skilled in prioritizing and managing customer and internal demands to deliver optimal results.

Experience with Digital Implementation flow, Circuit simulation, Static timing analysis, Field Solvers and shell/Tcl programming skills are a plus.  Conversant with both UNIX and Windows based environments. Ability to accommodate need for extended business travel if required.
