Can I know what exactly a migration means?

Is it that if I had designed in some circuit in 90nm technology & converting the whole circuit into sme lesser technology without manual involvement (with tools).

Can some one share info regarding this.

Thanks in advance,

RamesH

Thanks D.A.N for your quick response;

Then what is ECO (Engineering Change Order).
Is both these vary as Migration for Analog & ECO for Digital blocks?

Hi Harpoon,

Thanks for the reply,

I had already gone through this; My question is that ECO is only for Digital (ASIC) designing ?

ECO is just a term ... it is applicable whenever there is a change in schematic ... most often used in the PCB world ... sometimes in the analogue IC design environment, and definitely used in digits ... as it will lead to a change in layout and sometimes in connectivity, etc ...
... all in all ... it is just a word ...

what is the point of the question anyway ?

Thanks for the Reply Mr.Harpoon,

I just want to know the difference between two.

Any way your answers gave some clarity,

Thank you.
