this is interesting. it use AMD APU (x86) instead of ARM. isn't ARM is better for mobile?

i'll like to see where this goes. maybe x86 is not as dead as everyone said when Apple show off their M1 chip
 
Good question. Linux port to the Apple M1 is almost finished. That
will allow benchmarking where Apple can't optimize for its OS. So
far compiling Linux kernal on M1 is faster, but that is probably because
M1 has highest memory bandwidth since RAM is on the SOC.
 
The entire catalog of games available through Steam are binaries compiled to X86 - if they were to use an ARM based processor they would have had to run everything through emulation (which exists for Android platforms, but not supported by Steam / Valve). As it stands the APU from AMD is tailored for low power, and it will be interesting to get a look under the hood versus the existing Ryzen series on N7.
