Tsmc versus fabclub

I have seen the GlobalFoundry pitch and it is good. We used Chartered 65nm and now 45nm because they had the lowest prices but also the lowest service and lightest IP offering. :-(

Global talked about service and support and availability. They are global and not on an island (Taiwan) so a Tsunami won't delay our wafers.

The relationship with ARM is the best thing I have seen. We use more ARM cores each node and will use Cortex next design. All sorts of ARM test chip reports are available and other data. Global has a whole ARM team.

Does anybody else use ARM on TSMC or UMC? Is ARM eve supported?

Does anyone REALLY think that Common Platform can compete with TSMC? It will come down to pricing and who can beat Taiwan on pricing? China does not have the yield or capacity to compete.
