The reduction of the EDA market in Japan．

Do you know the reduction of the Japanese EDA market?

The Japanese market share reduces while the sales of the EDA market show the recovery.
It is clear when I watch sales change of 2009Q4-2010Q3.

2009Q4: 6.6% decrease compared with the previous year
2010Q1: 5.5% decrease
2010Q2: 1.0% decrease
2010Q3: 7.1% decrease

EDA Fair 2011 is held at the end of this month.
The number of the exhibition company decreases at the peak by 2006, too.

2006: 171 companies exhibit(include a university and the associated group)
2007: 154 companies
2008: 169 companies
2009: 145 companies
2010: 113 companies
2011: 103 companies

The exhibition that visitors do not gather for declines.
We must call back a customer in the industry.

However, it is not work only for the EDA industry to call back a visitor.
It is work of a semiconductor industry and the government.

It is nonsense to reduce investment in EDA to reduce a design cost.

In this situation the rumor that EDA Fair disappears will become the reality.
