Tesla model Y using AMD Ryzen

AMD is simply easier to get now. I doubt they did the on board computer themselves.

What I don't like about working with Intel is just how hard is it to just buy their chips. They have tons of hoops for you to jump through if you want just to buy their embedded N pentium line (and you will not even be let to call Intel engineers, they will football you to their regional partner,) and for core line the plank is even higher.

And even after all of this, they may not even have chips on hand.
 
Another win for the tsmc ecosystem and loss for intel. Really working at Intel raised the white flag a year ago.
