We are currently hiring a:

Senior Technology Analyst – Memory


You see yourself as a Technology Evangelist, with a passion for sharing knowledge with a broad audience in a public forum. You love to engage in conversation about current technology and future trends for semiconductor product developers in the areas of memory, in particular DRAM.

Based on the in-depth analysis performed in TechInsights' laboratories, you will develop a deep understanding of customer interest and industry direction to provide our customers with an understanding of state-of-the-art semiconductor memory.

This position works closely with our Ottawa, Canada based headquarters. We will consider candidates in global locations with the ability to travel to Canada and client sites. You have strong English communication skills; other languages are considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the technical analysis product roadmap for TechInsights
  • Engage with industry through conference participation and on-site presentations with customers
  • Guide Techinsights’ analytical teams to ensure we have the capabilities to analyze the latest device structures and materials
  • Curate briefing material based on reverse engineering results
  • Work closely with other analysts to evaluate reverse engineering results
  • Follow company business policies and processes

  • Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree (Physics, Electrical, Chemical or equivalent. A master or Ph.D. in engineering is an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor devices, quantum physics and channel/junction Engineering
  • 7+ years’ industry experience in semiconductor foundry in at least one of the following areas:
  • Process integration used to fabricate DRAM and flash memory with experience in lithography an asset
  • Fundamental manufacturing processes for, DRAM and flash memory
  • Knowledge and experience in interpreting results from analytical methods including SEM, TEM, EDS, EELS, SIMS, FTIR, Raman, SRP
  • Strong analytical skills combined with ability to handle multiple sources of information
  • Ability to work autonomously and remotely
  • The aptitude to work within a global community
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to confidently present and respond to TechInsights customers on all levels of semiconductor fabrication
  • Ability to engage audiences from our global base of world-renowned semiconductor customers through social media and direct presentations and webinars
  • Desire for frequent worldwide travel and frequent industry interaction
