Oski Technology, an Expert in Formal Verification, Joins NVIDIA

I am less, and less worried about a fab monopoly, than I am about EDA monopoly. Anybody not on a full spoonfed sevice from Cadence, or Synopsys is stuck making physical ip for 8-10 years old nodes. Sooner, or later we will see Cadence eating Synopsys, and it will be a full Decadence then.

I agree but I think Siemens would eat Cadence first. Sysnopsy has done a great job diversifying and their IP business is amazing. Synopsys is really the one to beat. My concern is that EDA start-ups are few and far between. Siemens has an aggressive acquisition strategy and at some point in time we are going to run out of EDA and IP companies to acquire.
