New Transistor out of MIT

Will this be a game changer or just another lab only curiosity due to limitations of some type or too hard to fabricate?
Never use the second-order reports in the press. Track back to the source.

MIT are relatively sane in that press release, which quotes the researchers "the current way of producing the new ferroelectrics is difficult and not conducive to mass manufacturing". They made a single transistor.

But I think the science looks good. It is likely to develop, but years of work.
