IP Lifecycle Management provider underscores commitment to providing IP-centric methodology across the enterprise

San Francisco, CA – April 19, 2018 – Methodics Inc, the leader in IP lifecycle management, today announced the appointment of Vadim Iofis as Vice President of Engineering for the company. The hiring of the enterprise software veteran underscores Methodics strategy for enabling a comprehensive digital asset management platform across organizations developing advanced electronic products.

Iofis brings a strong background in complex software development, engineering team leadership and agile project management to the Methodics global R&D team. In particular, his experience in leading development efforts for enterprise-class solutions will be critical as Methodics positions its platform for the entire spectrum of companies’ product development and lifecycle management requirements.

“Vadim brings a fresh perspective that is an ideal fit for how Methodics is addressing product development challenges that extend well beyond how ICs are designed with traditional EDA tools and methods,” said Simon Butler, CEO of Methodics. “The IP-centric semiconductor development approach we enable requires a methodology that is similar to a large software development process. And the management of that is an enterprise-level requirement that must be integrated into the entire IT and PLM infrastructure at companies. Vadim understands how to develop applications at that level, and has a great track record of working with customers to translate their business requirements into technical solutions.”

Iofis joins Methodics from Ooyala where he led a multi-team, global development effort building on-line video content management systems. Prior to that he held senior engineering positions at Hewlett-Packard, VMware, Yahoo and Netscape, all of which involved developing broad-based solutions that leveraged advanced SaaS and cloud implementation models. He has an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

“This is a unique opportunity to help develop a truly differentiated approach to a significant industry challenges. By looking at the entire product lifecycle management needs of its customer Methodics is taking a much broader view of how companies manage their most critical digital assets,” said Iofis. “The solution is architected to give users visibility and traceability across their entire IP portfolio and across the entire enterprise, which provides new levels of efficiency, productivity and control throughout the lifecycle of the product.”

The Methodics platform provides an effective way to manage the exploding volume of design data with a system that provides precise visibility into how IP is developed, acquired, used, stored, traced and organized. The platform is built on a high-performance database that speeds search, reduces synchronization time, and reduces workspace size significantly. Its advanced caching and data distribution capabilities are geared for enterprise requirements, eliminating network latency, reducing workspace creation time, and reducing disk-space consumption.
