Do we have people here who work in manufacturing industry outside of wider semiconductor design, and process?
First, I will add myself as somebody who gave up on the industry almost a decade ago, and since worked doing fairly simple EE, and computer programming, and at a much higher salary than if I would've stayed in micro.
i am in applications engineering in semiconductors but for the Taiwanese. The finance and operations people killed the role in US based companies. The US companies want it to be like vending machines - no humans involved Harvard business school says so.
