Does any know what substrates Kress might refer to? And which are the manufacturers of those substrates?

During the Credit Suisse 24th Annual Technology Conference, Nvidia CFO Colette Kress revealed that the wafer yields are not the only problems behind the GPU shortages:

We do have supply constraints and our supply constraints do expand past what we are seeing in terms of wafers and silicon, but yes some constraints are in substrates and components. We continue to work during the quarter on our supply and we believe though that demand will probably exceed supply in Q4 for overall gaming.

I would guess he refers to ABF (ajinomoto build-up film) substrates?

Suppliers of those would be Unimicron Technology, Kinsus Interconnect Technology, Nan Ya PCB -- probably more.

Apparently not the first time there's a shortage of ABF substrate?

I think just every substrate today is an ABF-BT sandwich.

I will add Powertech to the list of FCBGA packagers.
