Altair strengthens its aerospace presence with prestigious partnership

TROY, Mich., January 16, 2023 —

Altair (Nasdaq: ALTR), a global leader in computational science and artificial intelligence (AI), has become a partner of the Campania Aerospace District (DAC), one of Italy and Europe’s most important aerospace districts. DAC was established in 2012 with the objective of stimulating collaboration between research centers, universities, and companies in Campania to create business and growth opportunities. DAC has made the aeronautical and space production chain in Campania a hub for economic development and investment, and offers members expert technical know-how and a world-class team.

The Altair partnership aims to bring reliable, cutting-edge technology solutions in data analytics, digital twin, and more to support and empower the aerospace industry in Campania and around the world. Another goal is to support small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) to develop their next-generation data analytics, AI, machine learning, and Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities, which will allow them to facilitate new business opportunities, promote collaborative processes, exchange experience and best practices, and more.

“We are very grateful to DAC for welcoming us,” said Andrea Maria Benedetto, managing director, Altair Italy. “Altair’s knowledge of the aerospace industry – combined with our multiphysics simulation expertise and over half a billion dollars of data analytics investment – will allow us to support companies and equip them with the technology that will make them more innovative and more competitive.”

“The Campania aerospace supply chain is increasingly becoming a leading competitive player in the Italian industry, and it is one of the most relevant industrial segments with the greatest capacity for expansion,” said Luigi Carrino, president, DAC. “Our strategic partnership with Altair will provide access to best-in-class technologies and aerospace expertise, which will enable the development of cutting-edge technology sharing and digital upgrades for member companies.”
