Automated Research on Batteries, Automating Professions, political skills needed

Automation of professions at an ever-accelerating rate is going to be but one of the high growth areas of the automation of everything. Below is a link to what is being done with research in the area of batteries, which will are starting to advance at the speed of the rest of the semi world. With professions like medical where diagnostics take up 40% of the doctor's time a revolution in semis will accompany this in not only the intelligence part, but instrumentation, sensors and devices that haven't even been imagined yet, let alone the research that will go into this area in totality. This is going to cause a new wave of semis of new and old types to be applied in ways many haven't even imagined of and greatly improving the performance of monitoring sound, light, density and temperature far in advance of anything we have now. A suite of super senses using semis of all types, shapes and sizes will help feed the AI/ML platforms coming that will change the face of everything. Politics sadly will continue to play an ever larger part than they do now, as special interests try to defend increasingly obsolete methods of doing tasks to preserve their turf. Sadly, political skills will have to an increasing part of the skills of any technologist and tech company. Any thoughts or comments appreciated. I have run into this conflict in my work in physical plant data communications.
