Why “Silicon Proven” is NOT What You Think

Is “silicon proven” really the gold standard for IP? We have a new white paper that explains how this idea has arisen and why it is not what you think. By asking if an IP is silicon-proven, what the customer really wants is a reassurance that the IP will work. Digital IP in one project that has gone successfully to silicon and is called silicon-proven but, if key variables change in the next project, there is actually no guarantee that it will work first time.Agile Analog, we know that every set of analog IPs that we create has been specifically tailored to meet that project’s particular process variables. Our individual analog IP blocks have been tried and tested in many different designs over the years so we know that they are field-proven. This gives our customers the same level of assurance that silicon-proven has in the digital domain.
