Majeed Ahmad

Engineering background and technology enthusiast

Majeed Ahmad is former Editor-in-Chief of EE Times Asia, a sister publication of EE Times. While being the Editor-in-Chief at Global Sources, a Hong Kong-based publishing house, he also spearheaded magazines relating to electronic components, consumer electronics, and computer, security and telecom products.

Majeed studied electronics and telecommunications at Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands. He has worked with blue-chip companies like AT&T, Motorola and Nortel before heading to the publishing industry. He has been a technology and trade journalist for more than 19 years.

Majeed has authored six books on mobile, networks and the Internet of Things (IoT): Smartphone, Nokia’s Smartphone Problem, Mobile Commerce 2.0, Age of Mobile Data, Essential 4G Guide, and The Next Web of 50 Billion Devices.
