SemiWiki WEBINAR: GPU-Powered SPICE – The Way Forward for Analog Simulation

August 8, 2019 @ 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM

Overview

Increasingly we are seeing benefits to using GPUs rather than CPUs for certain computing tasks. SPICE simulation is one of those tasks that benefit from using a GPU architecture for better performance. This webinar will review those benefits with a commercially available solution from Empyrean.

What You Will Learn

This webinar will show concrete comparative numbers on some challenging designs results using Empyrean’s GPU based solution against Empyrean’s own traditional CPU-driven ALPS™. ALPS was voted by users as the “Best of DAC 2018” in SPICE simulation for performance (3X to 8X faster than other industry-standard parallel SPICE simulators for post-layout simulation in 2018). ALPS and ALPS-GT together cover a large pool of users and types of designs. ALPS-GT was showcased at DAC 2019 and received lots of attention. Empyrean has been working closely with some key, early customers in the use of ALPS-GT for several designs in the 7nm process technology node and is now being deployed to the broader market.

Who Should Attend
