Webinar: Building Sustainable Networks with Energy Efficient Open RAN
February 22 @ 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Environmental sustainability and energy efficiency are at the top of the telecom industry’s agenda and key to realizing the full potential of 5G and beyond. Today, there are multiple technologies addressing sustainability and energy efficiency in the RAN ecosystem. Operators, recognizing the potential of energy efficiency to impact their bottom lines, are motivated to work with the ecosystem to drive these technologies towards deployment.
This webinar will:
- Outline the energy consumption challenges facing mobile networks and highlight the importance of addressing energy efficiency targets
- Present solutions for addressing energy efficiency in a virtualized and Open RAN
- Introduce new design and verification framework for AI/ML RAN energy savings evaluation and optimization
- Share test results and insights gathered from the O-RAN Global PlugFests Spring and Fall 2022 events
- Identify next steps
