EuCAP 2020

March 15, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, it is a pleasure to invite you to attend the 14th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, EuCAP 2020, in Copenhagen, Denmark, March 15-20, 2020.

EuCAP is Europe’s largest and most significant antennas and propagation conference attracting academic and industrial participants at all career stages from all over the world. It is a great forum for exchange of new technical-scientific achievements, for demonstrating state-of-the-art technology, and for establishing and strengthening professional networks.

Year 2020 marks the beginning of a new promising decade for wireless technology with great challenges and possibilities for both application-driven and curiosity-driven research and development. 5G telecommunication will roll out to impact people and society substantially – as will many other emerging technologies – and new understanding of wave-matter interaction at nanoscale will develop to form the basis for future technologies.

Year 2020 also marks the 200 years anniversary for Danish physicist Hans Christian Ørsted’s discovery in 1820 that electricity and magnetism are not separate but connected phenomena – and thus the discovery of the electromagnetism that is the scientific foundation of all antenna and propagation technology.

EuCAP 2020 will thus be an excellent occasion for our community to reminisce the history as well as to forecast the future of antennas and propagation.

In addition to it’s technical-scientific strength, EuCAP 2020 will be your opportunity to visit Greater Copenhagen – the metropolitan area spanning Eastern Denmark and Southern Sweden – which is home to vibrant academic and industrial activities in antennas and propagation. The Technical University of Denmark and Lund University jointly support EuCAP 2020.

Welcome to Copenhagen

Copenhagen is a superb conference venue with North Europe’s largest airport having 150+ world-wide connections, with ample accommodation possibilities from youth hostels to five-star hotels, with efficient local transportation, with food offerings from street-vans to three Michelin stars restaurants, with a plethora of cultural events, and not least with the clean environment, and the informal, peaceful, and safe atmosphere.

I look very much forward to welcoming you in Copenhagen for EuCAP 2020.

Sincerely

Olav Breinbjerg, Conference Chair
