There has been surge of interest in developing hypersonic vehicles in many countries during last two decades. The design of such highly maneuverable, hypersonic vehicles requires extensive understanding of all the physics involved and their interactions, like aero-thermodynamics, structure, electromagnetics, sensors, guidance and control, etc. Because physical testing capabilities for ground and flight testing are limited and expensive, numerical simulation plays a crucial role in the development of such vehicles.
