SUMMARY
The Senior Manager Tax is primarily responsible for leading the US and foreign tax provisioning and tax financial reporting functions. This role will oversee the quarterly global tax provision and AETR processes. Other responsibilities include preparation or review of quarterly/annual financial statement disclosures relating to taxes, oversight in the forecasting of global tax payments and integration of M&A entity tax accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and document new and existing tax law and its application to ANSYS
- Direct the calculation and analysis of information necessary to calculate the US tax provision
- Oversee the consolidation and review of the global tax provision and AETR process
- Prepare and review tax disclosures for financial reporting
- Collaborate with the FP&A function to manage global tax cash
- Ensure the accuracy of the tax accounting integration of M&A entities
- Supervise and develop tax staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in Public Accounting
- Minimum of 7 years of technical experience in corporate taxation
- Proficiency with ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP
- Strong technical and comprehensive knowledge of Internal Revenue Code
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong organization skills and demonstrate an attention to detail
- Must show ability to multi-task and work well independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Public accounting, Big 4 experience, preferred
- CPA preferred
- Experience in a multinational corporate tax department a plus
